Step-by-step guide: How to find your eBay User ID and Selling Limits

(Seller Hub & Basic Dashboard · Computer & Mobile)

PART 1: Find your eBay User ID (Username)


A) On a computer (Seller Hub or basic dashboard)

  1. Go to eBay.com and Sign in.

  2. Look at the top left corner of the page.

  3. Click your name or username.

  4. Your User ID is shown:

    • At the top of the dropdown

    • On your Profile page

  5. This is your public eBay username (your User ID).

This is the ID buyers see and what eBay support often asks for.


B) On mobile (eBay app – Android or iPhone)

  1. Open the eBay app.

  2. Tap My eBay (bottom menu).

  3. Tap your profile picture or name at the top.

  4. Your User ID appears at the top of your profile screen.


PART 2: Find your Selling Limits

Selling limits show:

  • Maximum number of items you can list per month

  • Maximum total dollar amount you can list per month


A) On a computer – Seller Hub

  1. Sign in to eBay.com.

  2. Click Seller Hub (top menu).

  3. From the Overview tab:

    • Look for the Monthly limits box (usually near the top or right side)

  4. You’ll see:

    • “You can list X items or $X this month”

If you don’t see it immediately:

  1. Click Performance or Listings inside Seller Hub.

  2. Scroll until you find Monthly limits.


B) On a computer – Basic eBay dashboard (no Seller Hub)

  1. Sign in to eBay.com.

  2. Click Sell at the top.

  3. Look for a section labeled:

    • Monthly selling limits

    • or Selling limits

  4. Your item and dollar limits will be displayed.


C) On mobile – eBay app (Android & iPhone)

  1. Open the eBay app.

  2. Tap My eBay.

  3. Tap Selling.

  4. Look near the top or scroll down to find:

    • Monthly limits

    • or Selling limits

  5. You’ll see:

    • Number of items remaining

    • Dollar amount remaining for the month

📱 Tip: If you don’t see limits right away, tap See all or View details in the Selling section.


PART 3: What to do if you can’t find your limits

If selling limits are not visible:

  1. Go to My eBaySelling.

  2. Tap or click Create listing.

  3. If you are close to or over limits, eBay will show a warning message.

  4. You can also:

    • Search eBay Help for “selling limits”

    • Contact eBay Seller Support and give them your User ID
