Step-by-Step Guide: Adding Products to Your Website

Your first step to getting your site up and running is to add products.
Our goal is to have 200–250 products on each site to give the website strong structure, credibility, and content from the start.

There are two ways to add products:

  1. Manually add products yourself

  2. Have our web development team add the products for you

You can choose the option that works best for your time, comfort level, and budget.

Option 1: Add Products Manually (Do-It-Yourself)

This option is best if you want full control and don’t mind spending time entering product details.

Step 2: Log In to Your Website Admin Dashboard

  1. Open your web browser

  2. Go to your website’s admin/login page

  3. Log in using your admin username and password

Step 3: Go to the Products Section

  1. From the dashboard menu, click Products

  2. Select Add New Product

Step 4: Add Product Information

For each product, complete the following:

  1. Product Title

    • Copy and paste the product name

    • Keep it clear and descriptive

  2. Product Description

    • Copy and paste the product description

    • Use clean formatting (paragraphs or bullet points if available)

  3. Select a Category

    • Choose the most relevant category for the product

    • Categories help organize your site and improve user experience

  4. Upload Product Image

    • Upload at least one clear image

    • Use clean, professional-looking images whenever possible

  5. Set the Price

    • Enter the product price

    • Double-check for accuracy

  6. Add SKU

    • Create a simple SKU (can be numbers, letters, or a mix)

    • Example: ABC-001, PROD-12, etc.

Step 5: Publish the Product

  1. Review all details

  2. Click Save or Publish

  3. Repeat the steps for each product until your site reaches the target number

This option is best if you want to save time and have everything handled professionally for you.

Step 4: Team Adds Products for You

The web development team will:

  • Upload products to your site

  • Add titles, descriptions, categories

  • Upload images

  • Set prices and SKUs

You’ll receive confirmation once the products are live on your site.

Recommended Approach

  • If you’re just starting and want speed → Use the team

  • If you want to learn the system and add gradually → Do it manually

  • Many clients choose a combination (team uploads bulk products, client adds later)
